Gait to be Featured on Versus "Soul of a Champion" Series

Syracuse lacrosse legend Gary Gait will be featured as part of The Versus "Soul of a Champion" series. The half hour-long episode featuring Gait will premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 10:00 p.m. on Versus, formerly the Outdoor Life Network, and will be replayed at various time during the coming weeks.
Gait is one of 11 athletes that will be profiled in the series. Earlier episodes have included features on New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera, New Jersey Devils goalie Martin Brodeur and professional boxer Floyd Mayweather. Texas Tech coach Bobby Knight and NASCAR superstar Jeff Gordon will also be featured in the series.
Gait was a member of Canada's gold medal-winning national team at the 2006 ILF World Championship last summer. During his collegiate career he, and his twin brother Paul, led the Orange to three straight NCAA titles (1988-90).
Currently, Gait is the coach of the National Lacrosse League's (NLL) Colorado Mammoth.
