SYRACUSE, NY -- Sophomore guard Justin Thomas has earned a spot on the Syracuse men's basketball roster, according to veteran coach Jim Boeheim. Thomas participated in the club's open tryout on Friday, October 13, and was invited to join the Orange afterwords.

A native of Los Angeles, Thomas played three seasons of varsity basketball at Loyola High School for Coach Jim Williams. The Cubs were 28-5, 22-8 and 25-6 in his three campaigns with the club. A 6-1, 182 guard, Thomas earned All-Mission League honors as a sophomore.

A team captain as a junior and senior, Thomas earned all-tournament honrs from teh Pacific Shores and El Segundo tournaments in 2004-05.
