Quigley Named to Academic All-District Team

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Redshirt sophomore April Quigley (Warwick, N.Y.) was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Second Team in District 1. Quigley and the Orange volleyball team just completed the 2006 season, finishing the year with an 11-25 record and 5-9 in BIG EAST play.
Quigley finished the year ranked eighth in the BIG EAST with 10.69 assists per game. Her assists per game mark is the eighth-best mark in school history while her 1,262 career assists ranks sixth in the program’s history. Quigley’s career marks also rank among the elite in Syracuse history. Her 1,415 career assists ranks sixth in the school record book and her 10.04 assists per game is second all-time.
Quigley is majoring in marketing management and supply chain management. She has been named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll in all four of her semesters at SU and she has been honored as a BIG EAST Academic All-Star in 2004 and 2005.
