SYRACUSE, N.Y.- Junior center Darryl Watkins has been named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll for his play in Syracuse’s two games this past week. Watkins averaged 11.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 4.0 blocks for the Orange.

Watkins had 12 points, nine boards and four blocks in SU’s road loss to Connecticut (73-50) before leading the Orange to a 75-60 victory at St. John’s on Sunday behind his 11 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks.

His eight blocks this past week moved him to 10^th all-time at SU in career blocks with 126. He now needs 14 more blocks to move up to ninth all-time.

The Orange will begin a three-game home stand when it welcomes Cincinnati to the Carrier Dome on Wednesday. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. tip.
