SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Coming off a 10-day layoff between games, Syracuse gets a chance to snap a three-game losing streak against Hobart at the Carrier Dome on March 28. The Orange is ranked No. 13 in this week’s STX/USILA Coaches Poll and No. 15 in the latest Inside Lacrosse Media Poll. SU’s last outing was a 14-9 loss at Johns Hopkins on March 18.

The Statesmen won their first three games of the season versus Bucknell, Ohio State and Hartford, but have since struggled against the likes of Binghamton, Georgetown and Rutgers. Hobart’s last three losses are by a combined five goals, including an 8-7 overtime setback at Rutgers on March 25.
Redshirt freshman David O’Quinn leads four Statesmen in double-figure point scoring with five goals and a team-high eight assists for 13 points. Sophomore Daryl Veltman has tallied 12 points, while the team’s top goal scorer is junior Christopher David (10 goals, one assist). Senior Patrick Meade is another offensive threat with 10 points. In goal, Hobart is led by Mike DeSantis, who has started all six games and owns a .554 save percentage and an 8.25 goals against average.
