
Women's Tennis Competes at the Deacon Classic

The Syracuse women's tennis team will take part in the Deacon Classic, hosted by Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, N.C., September 22-24. Syracuse is joined by Wake Forest, Dartmouth, Ohio State, Kansas, Indiana, East Tennessee State, and UNC Charlotte at the three day tournament.
The draws have been released for the Classic, which begins on Friday:
Junior Victoria Vaynberg vs. Olya Batsula (East Tennessee State)-1 p.m.
Junior Olga Votavova vs. Julie Blackmore (Ohio State)-1 p.m.
Sophomore Maria Vasilyeva vs. Jesse Adler (Dartmouth)-1 p.m.
Junior Kasia Zawadzki vs. Christian Tara (Wake Forest)-1 p.m.
Senior Ashley Lipton vs. Yana Stoeva (Charlotte)-2:30 p.m.
Senior Katie Bramante vs. Edina Horvath (Kansas)-2:30 p.m.
Senior Carolina Huignard vs. Jen Murray (Dartmouth)-2:30 p.m.
Flight A Doubles:
Votavova/Vaynberg vs. Williams/Fischer (Indiana)-9 a.m.
Vasilyeva/Bramante vs. Keesey/Fincuane (Ohio State)-9 a.m.
Lipton/Huignard vs. Murray/Caplan (Dartmouth)-9 a.m.
The Orange opened its fall schedule last weekend at the Columbia Invitational, capturing both the Flight A and Flight B doubles titles.
