
Forth Signs With Albany Patroons

Craig Forth, the starting center on Syracuse University's 2003 NCAA Championship men's basketball squad, has signed ot play with the Albany Patroons of the United States Basketball League (USBL). The Patroons open their season on Friday, April 13, in the Washington Avenue Armory against the New Jersey Meteors.
Forth started all 136 games he played at Syracuse from 2001-2005. He averaged 4.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots per game. The Orange earned NCAA berths in three of his four seasons and made the National Invitation Tournament the other season.
After graduating from Syracuse in 2005, Forth spent a year playing professionally in Slovakia and Croatia. He retired to become a teacher in the Albany area. Forth is a native of East Greenbush, a suburb of Albany.
The Patroons are coached by Patrick O'Herron. The squad includes former Siena player Antoine Jordan and Seton Hall performer Greg Morton. The squad will face a 30-game regular-season schedule.
