Last Time Out
Syracuse lost both games of its doubleheader against the Louisville Cardinals at Skytop Stadium on Saturday, April 14, ending a season-high five-game winning streak. Despite an outstanding relief appearance by LHP Keri Casas, who went 2.2 innings of solid relief giving up just two hits in the first game of the double and a solid performance by freshman RHP Brittany Gardner, the Orange lost 7-2 in the first game, and 6-2 in the second. Homeruns made the difference in the first game, as the Cardinals hit two blasts for three RBI. The Orange had tied the second game in the bottom of the second, but was unable to pull it out, as Gardner gave up four runs in the top of the seventh.
