Roehner Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE – Syracuse University softball junior RHP/OF Chanel Roehner was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll for her performance in Syracuse’s doubleheaders at St. John’s and Seton Hall last weekend. Roehner ended the week with a .636 batting average, going 7-for-11 with five runs scored, four RBI, three doubles, one home run and one base-on-balls.
The junior went 2-for-3 with two RBI, a run scored, one double and a walk in SU's 3-2 victory at St. John's. She also recorded a save from the pitching circle, getting the final out of the contest. Roehner capped off the day with a 3-for-4 performance, including two runs scored, one RBI and one double.
She went 2-for-2 with a runs scored, one RBI, one double and one home run in Syracuse’s first game at Seton Hall. The junior added a run scored in the Orange's 4-2 victory at SHU.
Syracuse returns to action on Wednesday with a doubleheader at Niagara beginning at 3 p.m.
