Orange Sport Spotlight - May 14

Five Syracuse teams competed during the week of May 7 - 13. The Orange competed in three different championships, advancing in the NCAA Women's Lacrossee Championship and winning a title at the IC4A Championship.
Women's Lacrosse (13-5, 4-1 BIG EAST)
The seventh-ranked Orange won its first-ever NCAA Tournament game, defeating 10th-ranked Vanderbilt, 16-10. Sophomore Katie Rowan scored five goals and became the fastest player in school history to post 100 career goals, reaching the plateau in just 34 games.

The Orange softball team ended its season at the BIG EAST Championship Tournament, losing to eventual champion Louisville, 5-1, in the first round.
