Drouin placed third in the heptathlon, recording 5,822 points. Drouin is the first SU student-athlete, male or female, to earn All-America accolades in a multi-event. Drouin, the BIG EAST Champion in the heptathlon, opened the second day of competition by finishing fourth in the long jump, recording a distance of 6.01m. She also recorded marks of 38.16m in the javelin and 2:24.33 in the 800m run.
Drouin also competed in the finals of the high jump, placing ninth with a height of 1.80m. She missed becoming only the second SU student-athlete to earn All-America accolades in the two different events by one place.
LeBlanc is SU’s first All-American in the 100m dash since 1986, when Mike Morris earned national recognition in 1986. He placed fourth with a time of 10.22. In his first full season with the Orange, LeBlanc earned All-America accolades and won a BIG EAST title in the 100m dash.
