
McNamara Part of 76ers Summer Plans

Gerry McNamara, one of the most popular players in Syracuse basketball history, has completed a four-day minicamp for rookies and free agents with the Philadelphia 76ers. McNamara, who spent last winter with the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League, will now play for the 76ers entry in the 2007 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas (July 6-11) and the 2007 Rocky Mountain Revue (July 12-20) in Salt Lake City.
McNamara started 33 of 41 games after joining the Jam in December. He averaged 10.8 points, 5.2 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game. McNamara is the Syracuse leader in career minutes played (4,758), free throw percentage (.887), three point field goals (400) and three point field goals attempted (1,131.
