Syracuse Tennis Signs Wickman to National Letter of Intent

SYRACUSE, NY – Recent East Grand Rapids High School graduate Ally Wickman (East Grand Rapids, Mich.) has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Syracuse tennis team, head coach Luke Jensen announced.

While at East Grand Rapids, Wickman captured the No. 1 doubles state championship in 2003 before reaching the semifinals in 2004. A four-time No. 1 singles regional champion (2003-06) and two-time state runner-up (2005-06), Wickman won three conference crowns (2003, 2005-06). Prior to becoming a two-time All-America selection at the University of Southern California, Jensen graduated from East Grand Rapids in 1985.

The Orange is scheduled to begin its season on Friday, October 5 at the Billie Jean King Tournament in New York, N.Y.
