Virginia Completes Syracuse's 2007-08 Non-Conference Hoop Schedule

SYRACUSE, NY -- The Syracuse men's basketball team will travel to play Virginia at the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Va., on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 7:30 p.m. The road contest completes the non-conference portion of Syracuse's schedule for 2007-08.

The Orange and the Cavaliers have met twice previously. Syracuse lost to Virginia, 63-55, in the 1984 NCAA Tournament. In 1990, the Orange emerged with a 63-61 triumph in the NCAA event.

Virginia was 21-11 a year ago and participated in the NCAA Tournament. The Cavaliers are coached by former Connecticut assistant and DePaul head coach Dave Leitao, the 2007 ACC Coach of the Year.
