Cappelli Named Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week

Junior Lauren Cappelli, a starting defender for the Orange women's soccer team, has been honored as the Syracuse University Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 24.
Cappelli, an Old Bethpage, N.Y., native, was named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll every semester at Syracuse. In 2005 she was a BIG EAST Academic All-Star. She is majoring in accounting.
The Orange travels to Pittsburgh at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28th for its second BIG EAST contest. The team returns home for a match against 18th-ranked West Virginia at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30th.
The West Virginia match can be viewed lived through Orange All Access.
