The Orange remains inside the friend confines of the Carrier Dome to host Northeastern on Sunday, December 9 at 1 p.m. Syracuse leads the all-time series, 6-1, and defeated the Huskies 73-66 in the teams' last meeting in 1999.

The Huskies were 4-26 a year ago but bring in a recruiting class that is ranked in the top 150 by All-Star Girls Report. Northeastern features six seniors and will return its three leading scorers from 2006-07, seniors Shaleyse Smallwood (17.8 ppg.) and Lucia Pablos (14.8 ppg.) and junior Ashlee Feldman (12.3 ppg.). Senior Stephanie Hodell led the Huskies in rebounding last season with 8.8 rebounds per game.
Syracuse has already announced seven games of its non-conference schedule. The Orange will play against Coppin State (Nov. 17), North Carolina (Nov. 18), Lehigh (Nov. 25), Colgate (Nov. 28), Louisiana Monroe (Dec. 1), Alabama State (Dec. 2) and Penn State (Dec. 6).
