SYRACUSE, NY- The Denver Nuggets are set to host the Phoenix Suns for round two of their preseason series at the Carrier Dome on Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
The two teams faced off last Saturday, Oct. 11, in the first outdoor NBA game in more than three decades at the AutoTrader.Com Open. On the uncommonly chilly California evening in the Indian Wells Garden, the Nuggets topped the Suns 77-72. Phoenix guard Steve Nash recorded a game-high 16 points. J.R. Smith led Denver with 12.
The Nuggets’ Carmelo Anthony sat out on Saturday with a hand injury. It is anticipated he will take to the court on Friday. During his one year at Syracuse, "Melo" led the Orange to the 2003 NCAA Championship.
Other stand-outs on the star-packed rosters of Denver and Phoenix expected to be in Syracuse on Friday include Denver's Allen Iverson and Shaquille O’Neal from Phoenix.
Tickets are priced at $39.50, $29.50 and $19.50, and will be available on-line (www.suathletics.com) or in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office during normal business hours. Tickets will also be available at all Ticketmaster outlets, on-line at Ticketmaster.com, or by Ticketmaster Charge-by-Phone (315-472-0700).
