Big City Classic Tickets On Sale Now

BALTIMORE – Tickets for the inaugural Big City Classic, organized by Inside Lacrosse, are now on sale. Fans interested in attending the event, which will be held on Saturday, April 4 at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., can purchase tickets by calling Ticketmaster at 201-507-8900 or visiting ticketmaster.com. The lacrosse tripleheader features four teams that have won 19 of the last 21 NCAA titles - North Carolina, Princeton, Syracuse and Virginia. Syracuse will face off against Princeton at 2:30 p.m. in the middle game of the event. North Carolina and Virginia square off in the opening game at 12 p.m. and Delaware and Hofstra will meet in the nightcap at 5 p.m.
Ticket prices are $15 for groups of 10 or more, $25 for lower-level reserved seats and $40 for mezzanine-level seats. Pre-paid parking passes are also available for $20 per car and $30 per bus.
The six teams involved in the tripleheader have advanced to the NCAA semifinals a combined 67 times and have won 24 NCAA Championships. The Orange has accounted for 25 of those semifinal berths and almost half of the NCAA titles (10).
Syracuse and Princeton have combined to win 16 NCAA titles and the game pits the two active Division I head coaches with the most NCAA Championships against one another. Princeton’s Bill Tierney leads all active Division I mentors with six national championships. Orange head coach John Desko is second on that list with four, including the 2008 NCAA crown.
