OLEAN, N.Y. – The Syracuse Orange women’s basketball team (9-2) travels to Western New York to complete the road portion of its non-conference schedule against St. Bonaventure (8-3) in the Reilly Center on Sun., Dec. 28 at 1 p.m. The contest is SU’s first away from the Salt City since it traveled to Alaska more than a month ago. Central – Western New York Battle
The St. Bonaventure Bonnies have compiled an 8-3 reccord so far this season. The Brown and White opened the season winning its first four and six of its first seven. SBU has gone 2-2 in its last four games with wins against Niagara and Cornell and loses against Bowling Green and Marist. Dana Mitchell has recorded a team-best 15.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Priscilla Edwards has dished out a team-high 3.1 assists per contest. Mitchell and Katelyn Murray (13.0) have accounted for 44 percent of the Bonnies offense this season. Dating back to last season, the Bonnies have notched 20 victories in their last 26 games outside of the Atlantic 10, including eight in a row at the Reilly Center.
Charity Stripe
Syracuse made a season-best 91.7 percent (22-24) of its free-throw attempts in its 67-62 win against Ohio on Dec. 21. It was SU’s best performance from the line since it made 94.4 percent (17-18) of its attempts versus South Florida. The Orange has made 71.3 percent (206-289) of its attempts. SU is 6-1 when its shoots 70 percent or better from the charity stripe.

Syracuse dished out 10 assists in its 67-62 victory versus Ohio on Dec. 21. SU has eight 10+ and one 20+ assist performance this season. Syracuse is 8-0 in those contests. The Orange is averaging 12.6 assists per game.
