WEST POINT, N.Y. – Senior Meghan Rowcliffe, junior Lori Robinson, sophomore Annabelle Pellerin and freshman Catherine DeSarle powered the Orange attack with first-place performances at the Dick Shea Open on Saturday in West Point, N.Y.
WEST POINT, N.Y. – Senior Meghan Rowcliffe, junior Lori Robinson, sophomore Annabelle Pellerin and freshman Catherine DeSarle powered the Orange attack with first-place performances at the Dick Shea Open on Saturday in West Point, N.Y.
Rowcliffe posted the top time in the 3000m steeplechase, recording a tally of 11:56.67. Teammate Jillian Kosinski placed second with a time of 12:05.47.
Robinson collected the 400m dash crown with a time of 1:01.03.
Pellerin, also a member of the Syracuse volleyball team, captured the top performance in the high jump with a height of 1.60m. Sophomore Melissa Romero finished second.
DeSarle totaled a time of 4:57.50 in the 1500m run.
Sophomore Monica Ridgeway posted two second-place finishes and a fourth-place performance on Saturday at Army. She finished second in the hammer throw (44.80m) and discus (39.55m), and fourth in the shot put (12.03m).
The trio of Olivia Beane (2:27.26), Deanna Schmitt (2:28.06) and Racquel Clarke (2:29.81) finished second, third and fifth, respectively, in the 800m run.
Rookie LaTimberly Johnson finished second in the 100m dash, totaling a time of a 12.93 seconds. Junior Amanda Pope placed third in the 200m dash with a time of 26.28 seconds.
Senior Danny Weiss posted a second-place performance in the 400m hurdles with a time of 58.87 seconds.
Sophomore Jon Buice (48.47m) and junior Mike Chitro (47.01m) placed sixth and seventh, respectively, in the javelin throw.
The Orange resumes outdoor action on Saturday, April 5 at the Sam Howell Invitational in Princeton, N.J.
