CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Freshman Flings Owusu-Agyapong led the Syracuse sprints charge at the Tony Waldrop Open on Saturday at the University of North Carolina. Owusu-Agyapong finished first in the 100m dash with an ECAC-qualifying time of 11.97 seconds.

Classmate Lareea Chisholm finished fourth with a time of 12.33 seconds. She paired her performance in the 100m with a second-place finish in the 200m dash with an ECAC-qualifying time of 24.49 seconds.
Graduate Aulton Kohn placed third in the 100m dash with an IC4A-qualifying time of 10.72 seconds. He qualified for the NCAA Regional with a tally of 10.55 seconds at the Raleigh Relays.
Senior Ramon Sosa made his outdoor debut, finishing fifth in the 110m hurdles with a BIG EAST-qualifying time of 14.91 seconds.
Junior Skyy Simmons finished third in the 400m hurdles, improving upon his IC4A-qualifying mark with a time of 52.63 seconds. Junior Terry Marshall placed 12th and qualified for the BIG EAST Championship with a time of 54.91 seconds.
Rookie Sham Lewis finished 15th in the 200m dash with a time of 22.55 seconds.
