Combined the two lead the Orange in 12 different offensive and five defensive categories. During the ceremony, Kelley was also announced as a BIG EAST Academic All-Star.

Combined the two lead the Orange in 12 different offensive and five defensive categories. During the ceremony, Kelley was also announced as a BIG EAST Academic All-Star.
Kelley, a catcher, is enjoying her most successfully year with the Orange leading in the majority of statistical categories. She has posted a team-best .349 batting average, a .638 slugging percentage, a .427 on-base mark, 11 home runs, 10 doubles, 31 RBI and 95 total bases. Her slugging percentage is second in the conference, while her home run total is tied for second. Additionally, she ranks in the top ten for on-base percentage and total bases and in the top 15 for average and doubles.
The Bend, Ore., native has started every game this season, totaling 15 multi-hit games and four multi-RBI outings. Her slugging percentage is second on the school's single-season list, while her on-base percentage is fourth. Her 11 home runs are tied for second in school history.
Against the BIG EAST this season, Kelley batted .377 with seven home runs, 19 RBI, a .770 slugging percentage and a .480 on-base percentage and 23 hits.
She was named BIG EAST Player of the Week on April 21 after producing nine RBI on nine hits, including four home runs during six games from April 16-20. During the doubleheader against Seton Hall on April 20, she became the first SU student-athlete to hit three home runs in three consecutive plate appearances and the only SU player in school history to account for all five of her team's RBI in a single outing. Combining the two games, she homered in three straight innings.
Kelling, a shortstop, is making a big impact both offensively and defensively for the Orange this season. She leads the team with 58 hits and eight stole bases and is second with a .328 average and a.444 on-base percentage. Defensively, she has an uncanny ability to get square to the ball, which helped her tally 102 assists and 89 putouts this season.
During conference play, she is batting .325 with 25 hits, a .358 on-base percentage and two stolen bases.
She has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll twice this season with her first recognition coming on March 17 after setting the school record with five hits, including the game-winner, against St. John's at the College of Charleston Classic on March 15. Her second honor came on April 28 after batting a team-high .500 with six hits and two RBI to lead SU to a 2-1 record from April 21-27. During the Orange's 5-3 victory at Pitt, she drove in the game-winning runs in the top of the six with a single to leftfield. During the second game, a 2-1 win, she led off the contest with an infield single and later scored.
The six-seeded Orange (21-31, 12-10 BE), which is making its fourth consecutive BIG EAST Championship appearance, battles third-seeded Connecticut (27-21, 13-7 BE) on Thursday, May 8 at 10 a.m. in the quarterfinals of the eight-team single elimination tournament.
