ESPN and ESPN 2 will televise the USA Basketball Men's Senior National Team's five-game exhibition schedule beginning Friday, July 25. The American squad features former SU standout Carmelo Anthony. Coach Jim Boeheim is an assistant on Mike Krzyzewski's staff.
The USA men will tip off its schedule when it faces Canada, coached by Syracuse All-Century Team member Leo Rautins, in the 2008 State Farm USA Basketball Challenge at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 25 at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN. Rautins' son Andy, who is preparing for his junior season on the helm, is on the Team Canada roster.
ESPN2 will then televise live from China all four U.S. games in the USA Basketball International Challenge starting Thursday, July 31. The first two games will take place at CotaiArena in Macao and the last two games will be held in Shanghai at Qizhong Arena. All of the games from China will re-air on ESPN2.
