Jason Hart, a member of Syracuse's All-Century Team, has been traded from the Utah Jazz to the Los Angeles Clippers for Brevin Knight. The deal returns Hart to his home state of California and reunites him with the club he played with in 2006-07.
He was one of 25 players named to the Syracuse All-Century Team, selected by fan vote, in 2000. Hart is 19th in career scoring (1,503 points), first in career steals (329) and second in career assists (709) at SU. He played in 132 games from 1996-2000 with the Orange.
Hart was a second-round pick of the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2000 NBA Draft. He has played with the San Antonio Spurs, the Charlotte Bobcats, and the Sacramento Kings, in addition to the Clippers and the Jazz.
His best NBA campaign came with the Clippers. In 23 games, he averaged 9.0 points and 4.0 assists. He saw time in 57 games with the Jazz last year and averaged 2.9 points and 1.5 assists.
