SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse Orange women’s basketball team plays the last of five consecutive home games in the Carrier Dome when it hosts Ohio on Sunday, December 21 at 1 p.m. It will be the first time the two hoop squads meet.
The Bobcats finished the 2007-08 season with a 20-13 overall mark. Ohio went 10-6 in the Mid-American Conference and advanced to the final of the MAC Championship. The Bobcats lose former Syracuse player Lauren Kohn, but return MAC All -Tournament Team members Lauren Hmiel and Jennifer Poff. Hmiel averaged 7.4 points last season and Poff averaged 8.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest.
