STX To Sponsor SU Student Night

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse University will team up with lacrosse equipment manufacturer STX to sponsor “STX SU Student Night” on Tuesday, April 7. The first 500 students in attendance for the 7 p.m. Syracuse-Cornell men's lacrosse game at the Carrier Dome will receive a free STX lanyard.
Admission to the game is free with a valid student ID and students are encouraged to enter the Dome through Gate E and sit in Sections 117 and 118, which have been designated as the student sections for men's lacrosse. After every Syracuse goal there will be an STX t-shirt toss in those sections.
In addition, two SU students will be selected to participate in the “Dress Like The Orange Contest” for a chance to win an STX fiddle stick set. There will also be a halftime shootout where two more students will compete to win great prize packs.
Syracuse and Cornell is one of the oldest lacrosse rivalries in the nation. The two teams have met every year since 1979 and overall series dates back to 1920. Both teams are currently ranked in the top five. The Orange is second both in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll and the USILA Coaches' Poll. The Big Red is fourth in the media rankings and third in the coaches' poll.
