SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Freshman Emily Harman was named to the All-BIG EAST Women's Tennis Team as released by the conference on Thursday afternoon. Harman was one of 14 women named to the list, marking Syracuse's first individual BIG EAST award since Olga Votavova and Maria Vasiyeva were honored in 2007. In 2005, Victoria Vaynberg and Catherine Zawadzki were named to the all-tournament team as singles players at the BIG EAST Championship.
Harman, a native of Petersburg, W.Va., defended SU's No. 1 singles position with a 12-8 record, finishing 14-8, overall, in solo action. The first-year phenom teamed with sophomore Christina Tan for a club-best 17-6 mark at the top doubles position, as well.

At the BIG EAST Tournament, Harman and Tan won their first doubles match against West Virginia's Ashley Pilsbury and Gabriela Blaskovicov, 8-4.
