'Cuse Awards to Hit TV Airwaves

The third annual 'Cuse Awards will be broadcast on Time Warner Cable Sports on Wednesday, May 13 at 7:00 p.m. The event, which was held on April 19 at the historic Landmark Theatre in downtown Syracuse, celebrates the extraordinary achievements of Syracuse University Athletics. The broadcast is also available online at SUAthletics.com (click here) and on-demand free of charge from Time Warner.
A highlight video showcasing some of the top plays from the year kicks of the program, which also includes award presentations for Play of the Year, Team of the Year, Performance of the Year, Defensive Play of the Year, and Male and Female Athlete of the Year and recognition for each sport.
The final award presentation of the night was the Soladay Award, the highest honor bestowed upon a senior male and female student-athlete. Katie Rowan, a member of the women's lacrosse team, and football student-athlete Ryan Durand were announced as the 2009 Soladay Award recipients by Director of Athletics Dr. Daryl Gross and SU Senior Vice President and Dean of Students Tom Wolfe.
