Orange Hosts LeMoyne in Fall Ball Action

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Orange softball squad returns to the SU Softball Stadium for the first time since winning the 2010 BIG EAST Championship when it hosts cross-town foe LeMoyne on Friday, October 1 at 7 p.m. It marks the final fall ball competition of 2010 for Syracuse, who participated in fall tournaments at Binghamton and Cornell earlier this season.
SU returns 15 letterwinners from a year ago, including all nine position starters while adding four freshmen - outfielders Shirley Daniels, Chelsea Lorenz and Katie Pires and first baseman/catcher Jasmine Watson. In the dugout, Syracuse has also made coaching moves as Wally King begins his first season as associate head coach while head coach Leigh Ross also welcomes new assistant coach Mike Bosch.
