The student-athletes and coaches of the BIG EAST Champion Syracuse softball squad will be hosting a winter clinic on Sunday, January 16 at Manley Field House. The 2011 winter clinic is broken up into two sessions, offensive skills and defensive skills. The cost for one session is $60 and only $110 if signing up for both sessions.
The offensive skills clinic will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., focusing on the important fundamentals of hitting and baserunning. The defensive clinic goes from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and covers the specifics of throwing, glove work, footwork and fundamentals for both infield and outfield defense. The defensive skills session will also include breakout instruction for pitchers and catchers.
