
Tickets for 'Sweet 16' in the Carrier Dome Are Available Now

The “Sweet 16” is coming to Syracuse. Next week four men's college basketball teams will play in the 2010 NCAA Men's Basketball East Regional in the Carrier Dome. On Thursday, March 25 and Saturday, March 27 all college basketball fans will have their eyes on the Carrier Dome to see which team will advance to the Final Four. Be part of the action in the Dome. Tickets for all three games are available at the Carrier Dome Box Office and online for just $148.
The Kentucky Wildcats are the No. 1 seed in the East Region after finishing the regular season with a 32-2 record. BIG EAST Conference member West Virginia earned the No. 2 seed and enters the tournament with a 27-6 record. New Mexico (29-4) is the third seed, while Wisconsin (23-8) is the fourth seed. The Badgers advanced to the regional final in the Carrier Dome in 2005, which is the last time Syracuse hosted the event.
The other squads that are competing in the East Region are East Tennessee State, Texas, Wake Forest, Temple, Cornell, Wofford, Marquette, Washington, Montana, Clemson, Missouri and Morgan State.
Syracuse has hosted the Regional Championship in 1983, 1987, 2000, 2002 and 2005, as well as the first and second rounds in 1986 and 1993. The eventual national champion's road to the Final Four came through the Carrier Dome the last two times it hosted the event.
The NCAA reminds fan that purchasing tickets from secondary unauthorized vendors may result in fraudulent purchases. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets from the NCAA member institutions and programs authorized by the NCAA to sell championship tickets.
