
Former Field Hockey Player wins Iron Man Canada

Former Syracuse University field hockey student-athlete Meredith Keeran recently became a professional Tri-athlete and won Iron Man Canada 2010. At Syracuse University, she was a three year letterwinner in 1996, 1998 and 1999, and a two time member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team. Keeran also earned Athletic Director's Honor Roll accolades each of her four years.
Following her career with the Orange, Keeran began competing as a tri-athlete. In 2009, she finished as the first place amateur woman in every race. Additionally she holds the amateur course records at Ironman Arizona and the age group course record at Wildflower 70.3.
Meredith now resides in San Francisco. She teaches at Velo SF, which is a cycling studio that focuses on becoming a more efficient and better cyclist.
