ESPNU All-Access: Syracuse will air at a special time tonight (6:00 p.m.), followed by the return of ESPNU Road Trip at 6:30 p.m. All-Access: Syracuse wires Head Coach Doug Marrone, along with former NFL players Rob Moore and Tyrone Wheatley as ESPNU cameras sit in on meetings, workouts, training and practice.
Viewers will also meet “Baby Doll,” a second mom for many of the players, as she serves up breakfast in her 41st year working for Syracuse food services.
The weekly half-hour show gives a national audience behind-the-scenes access to top college football programs' practices, team meeting and facilities, while highlighting the coaches and players on and off the field. This season, the series has already profiled Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Kentucky and Maryland.
The ESPN crew visited the SU campus last week as the Orange prepared for its BIG EAST opener with Rutgers. During player meetings, several of the SU coaches were wearing microphones to give viewers an inside look at all aspects of the team. ESPN also sat in on team meals, weight lifting sessions and practice in the Carrier Dome. The show will re-air on October 11 at 10:00 p.m.
The Orange travel to Tulane this Saturday for a matchup with the Green Wave in the Superdome (8:00 p.m., Cox). Following a bye week, SU will return to the Carrier Dome to square off with West Virginia on October 21 (8:00 p.m., ESPN or ESPN2).
Tickets are available for the game online, at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B) and by phone (888-DOMETIX). The Time Warner Triple Play Pack, which includes one ticket to any of three home games of choice, starts at $72, while group sales discounts groups of 20 or more to any home game. Group sales are available by calling 315-443-3212 or emailing grpsales@syr.edu.
