Duo Earns All-BIG EAST Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Two members of the Syracuse women's soccer team have earned All-BIG EAST honors in a vote by the league's head coaches. Junior Tina Romagnuolo was named to the all-conference second team, while freshman Megan Hunsberger earned All-Rookie Team honors.
Romagnuolo played in 16 games in 2011 and registered four goals for eight points. Hunsberger played in 14 games and recorded five points on two goals and an assist in her rookie campaign. She netted her first career goal in the 56th minute to give the Orange a 1-0 victory against Villanova. In her next contest, Hunsberger produced a career-high three points in Syracuse's 4-1 win at Seton Hall.
The Orange finished the 2011 season with a 7-8-3 record, including a 6-5 mark in BIG EAST play. Syracuse qualified for the BIG EAST Tournament for the first time since 2005 where it lost to Georgetown in the quarterfinals.
