The re-design of Syracuse University's official athletics website, SUathletics.com, offers visitors an easily navigable site providing quick and efficient retrieval of information. New features include a larger latest story section, a consolidation of the SU athletics promotions for easier reference, quick links to give direct access to fan favorites and a calendar with easy-to-access details about every game. The new design, combined with the in-depth coverage of all 22 Orange athletics teams and the award-winning Orange All Access programming, provides all Syracuse fans everything they need to follow the Orange. The re-engineered site was developed by the athletics department and its web development firm Sidearm Sports. The Orange All Access subscription includes extensive and comprehensive game highlights of all sports; from weekly press conferences; exclusive one-on-one interviews with student-athletes and coaches; exclusive behind-the-scenes features that take fans inside the lockeroom and allows them to listen in on the sideline; Dome TV game features; and SU athletics news and event coverage.
The website is the official fan source for announcements regarding SU athletics initiatives, enhancements and projects. The site also includes popular features from the previous website, including news, rosters, and schedules for all sports, as well as real-time scoreboards, and merchandise and ticket sales.
Since its inception in 1999, the suathletics.com audience has grown every year. In 2009-10, the site averaged 311,150 unique visitors and 2.1 million page views per month.
