Webster Earns BIG EAST Honor

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Freshman Katie Webster has been named to the BIG EAST Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honor roll for her performance in two games last week. She recorded seven points on six goals and an assist in those contests. It marks the second time Webster has been named to the weekly honor roll this season.
Webster posted three goals and an assist in the Orange's 11-5 victory against Towson. Webster scored the first goal of the second half, sparking SU on a 3-0 run that gave the Orange a 5-2 advantage. Her second goal started a 5-0 run for Syracuse as it took a commanding 10-4 lead. Her third goal of the game gave SU its final margin of victory. Webster posted her second consecutive hat trick with three goals at Florida.
This season, Webster is Syracuse's leading scorer with 20 points. She also leads the squad with 17 goals, having scored two or more goals in her last five games. Webster ranks sixth in the BIG EAST in goals per game (2.83) and is tied for ninth in points per game (3.33).
The 11th-ranked Orange is back in action on Wednesday, March 23 when it takes on No. 2 Northwestern in Evanston, Ill. at 8 p.m. Easter time.
