Keogh Named To BIG EAST Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Orange senior attackman Stephen Keogh was picked to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll on Monday, April 11 for his performance in SU's 7-5 win at Princeton over the weekend. Keogh scored three goals, including the game-winner with 7:30 to play, to help the Orange remain unbeaten.
It was the 19th career hat trick for Keogh, who ranks fifth among active players with career 120 goals. Keogh leads Syracuse in goals (20) and points (25) this season. His clinching goal against the Tigers was his fourth game-winner of the year.
Villanova's Jack Rice was selected as the conference's offensive player of the week after tallying three goals and one assist in the Wildcats' 10-4 victory over Delaware. Notre Dame goalie John Kemp was this week's BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week. Kemp made 12 saves in a 7-6 win against conference rival Georgetown.
Keogh and the Orange are back in action on Tuesday, April 12 when No. 5 Cornell comes to the Carrier Dome. Faceoff is set for 7 p.m.
