Hogan Earns Player of the Week Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – For the second time in three weeks, Syracuse senior Liz Hogan has been named the BIG EAST Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. Hogan led the Orange to two victories last week as it secured a spot in the upcoming BIG EAST Tournament. It marks the fourth time Hogan has been named the Player of the Week in her career.
Hogan tallied 11 saves in two games. She had nine saves in Syracuse's 11-10 victory against Louisville. She also had an assist against the Cardinals. She followed that performance with two saves, two ground balls and a caused turnover in 30 minutes of action against Cincinnati.
This season, Hogan has recorded 108 saves. She ranks second in the BIG EAST in save percentage (.468) and saves per games (8.31).
Hogan and the 18th-ranked Orange play their final regular-season home game on Tuesday against Cornell at 7 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. Admission is free of charge.
