Clark and Cawley Named Orange Scholar-Athletes

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior forward Louis Clark (Brighton, England) of the men's soccer team and senior Erin Cawley (Newark Valley, N.Y.) of the women's cross country team are the Syracuse University Orange Scholar-Athletes for the week of October 22nd.
Clark has started in all 16 matches this season, contributing one game winning goal and four assists. The Orange soccer team clinched a BIG EAST Tournament berth following a 2-0 victory against DePaul last weekend. In 2011, Clark earned the Orange MVP and Golden Boot awards. He is majoring in general management in the Whitman School of Management.
Cawley finished 18th overall at the 2012 Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational with a time of 22:28. She finished 43rd overall at the Toledo Inter-Regional Bubble Buster with a time of 14:01. Cawley is double majoring in health and wellness and psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Clark and the rest of the men's soccer team (12-4, 5-2) will conclude their regular season schedule on Friday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at St. John's. Cawley and the rest of the Orange cross country team will compete in the BIG EAST Championship on Friday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. hosted by St. John's.
