Orange Duo Receives BIG EAST Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Orange sophomore goalie Dominic Lamolinara and junior midfielder Luke Cometti have been recognized by the BIG EAST Conference for their performances in Sunday's 10-9 win against Army. Lamolinara was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, Feb. 27 and Cometti was named to the league's weekly honor roll.
Lamolinara entered the game in the second half with the Orange down 5-4. He made five saves and allowed four goals in the last 30 minutes to earn his first career win. Four of Lamolinara's five stops came in the fourth quarter, including a last-second save on Army's Alex Van Krevel that secured the victory.
Cometti tallied a career-high two goals against the Black Knights. Both goals came in the game's last 17 minutes, and his tally with 7:36 left was the eventual game-winner.
The Orange returns to action on Sunday, March 4 when it visits top-ranked Virginia. Game time is 4:30 p.m. at Klöckner Stadium.
