Jamieson To Start NLL All-Star Game

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Former Syracuse men's lacrosse standout and current Rochester Knighthawk Cody Jamieson has been named to the East Division starting lineup for the 2012 National Lacrosse League (NLL) All-Star Game. The league announced the starters for both the East and West Divisions on Monday, Feb. 6.
This year's all-star game will be played Feb. 25 at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
It's the second straight all-star nod for Jamieson, who scored four goals and recorded one assist in last year's contest. Jamieson ranks second in the league in points (36) and goals (16) this season. Rochester is currently 2-3 with a game this weekend at Minnesota.
The No. 1 overall pick by Rochester in the 2010 NLL Draft, Jamieson scored 28 goals as a rookie last year and helped the Knighthawks to a berth in the East Division semifinals.
At Syracuse, Jamieson recorded 37 goals and 16 assists in 21 games from 2009-10. His biggest goal came in the 2009 NCAA title game against Cornell when he netted the game-winner 1:20 into overtime to deliver the Orange its 11th national championship. The following season, Jamieson tallied 41 points, including 28 goals, on his way to USILA Honorable Mention and All-BIG EAST First Team honors.
