KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March -- Senior forward Kris Joseph has been named a second-team All-American by the The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). The team is selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC.
The NABC picks a first, second and third team, with five players on each.
Joseph has helped Syracuse to a school-record 33 wins this season and one of four number one seeds in the NCAA Tournament. The Orange won its first two NCAA games and now takes on Wisconsin in the NCAA "Sweet 16" on Thursday, March 22, in Boston.
A first-team All-BIG EAST Conference selection, Joseph leads Syracuse in scoring (13.7 avg.) and ranks third in rebounding (4.9 avg.).
