Palasek Makes League Honor Roll Again

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Syracuse senior attackman Tommy Palasek was selected to the BIG EAST Honor Roll for the second straight week on Monday, April 2. Palasek led the Orange with five points in a 12-10 loss to Duke yesterday at the Konica Minolta Big City Classic.
Palasek tied his career high with four goals and passed out one assist against the Blue Devils to take over team scoring honors. He now has a squad-best 21 points (10g, 11a), including 12 in the Orange's last three games.
Jim Marlatt (Notre Dame), Bobby Smith (Notre Dame), Will Casertano (Villanova) and Thomas Croonquist (Villanova) joined Palasek on the weekly honor roll.
Rutgers swept the league player of the week awards. Scott Klimchak tallied four goals, including the game-winner, against Providence to earn BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week honors. Scarlet Knight goalie Steven Lusby was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week for his 13-save effort against the Friars.
Syracuse returns to action Saturday, April 7 against Princeton. Faceoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Carrier Dome.
