Senior associate athletic director Chris Gedney and Voice of the Orange Matt Park will represent Syracuse at the fourth annual Bella Casa Celebrity Fashion Show on May 3. The event, which benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York, will be held at the Holiday Inn on Electronics Parkway in Liverpool.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres and raffles, while the fashion show will commence at 8:00 p.m.
The show is being hosted by local shops including Elsbeth Rose, Eva's Boutique, Giovanni's Men's Fashion and Formal Wear, Jet Black, Koolakian & Manro Menswear, Melissa James Dress Salon, Mr. Shop, Oleander at Armory, Showoffs Boutique, and Spybaby Boutique. Tickets are still available and can be purchased online.
Gedney and Park are two of at least 11 local celebrities from around the area who are expected to participate in the event. In addition, nearly 30 vendors featuring clothing and jewelry will be on hand for guests to visit.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY, which was founded in 1982, operates the 16-bedroom CNY Ronald McDonald House 24-hours a day, year-round as a “home away from home” for families whose children are hospitalized with serious illnesses or injuries. RMHC of CNY is building a new, larger handicap-accessible Ronald McDonald House that will allow the organization to help keep even more families with seriously ill children together.
The mission of RMHC of CNY is to create, identify, and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children and families in Central New York and Northern Pennsylvania. Last year, nearly 400 families found respite at the CNY Ronald McDonald House for a combined total of 3,400 guest night stays as a result of the money raised by events like the Bella Casa Celebrity Fashion Show.
