Brian Megill Receives Midseason Plaudits

IL Midseason All-America Teams
BALTIMORE – Inside Lacrosse has released its midseason All-America teams and Syracuse junior Brian Megill was one of four defensemen named to the first team when the squads were announced Wednesday, April 4.
In all, 32 players from around the country were recognized on two 16-member teams picked by the magazine's staff and contributors. Joining Megill on the first-team defense were Tucker Durkin (Johns Hopkins), Kevin Randall (Notre Dame) and Jason Noble (Cornell).
The 2012 BIG EAST Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, Megill is second on the Orange in ground balls (23) and leads the team in caused turnovers (19). He ranks fifth nationally in caused turnovers per game at 2.38 per contest.
Megill and his Orange teammates return to action on Saturday, April 7 versus Princeton. Faceoff is 4 p.m. at the Carrier Dome.
