
Current and former members of the Syracuse Athletic Communications staff gathered in St. Louis for Sue Cornelius Edson's induction into the CoSIDA Hall of Fame.
Edson Joins CoSIDA Hall of Fame

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Current and former members of the Syracuse Athletic Communications staff gathered in St. Louis to celebrate assistant director of athletics Sue Cornelius Edson's induction into the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Hall of Fame on Monday, June 25. Edson and fellow 2012 inductee Debbie Copp from Oklahoma become the 10th and 11th females to earn the honor since 1969.
Edson is in her 22nd year in the athletic communications office at Syracuse. After serving as an assistant director for six years, she was promoted to director of athletic communications in 1996 and has served as an assistant director of athletics since 2006. Her full-time staffs at Syracuse have included Pete Moore, Susie Mehringer, Mike Morrison, Dave Gunn, Bill Dyer, Ken Dominski, Kerrin Perniciaro, Brian Gunning and Josh Waldman. In addition, Edson has mentored more than 300 students as graduate assistants, interns, student workers and volunteers at the NCAA Men's Basketball Regionals.
Edson joins Syracuse sports information director emeritus Larry Kimball in the CoSIDA Hall of Fame. Kimball was inducted in 1994. In addition, Moore was inducted in 1998 for his work at Ithaca College.
