
McCormick, Sargent Named Athletic Communications Assistants

Brittany McCormick and Arielle Sargent have joined the Syracuse University staff as athletic communications assistants. They will work within the athletic communications department, which disseminates information for all varsity sports to appropriate organizations, manages the department website, SUAthletics.com, and acts as a liaison between the media and the SU coaching staffs and student-athletes.
McComick will work with the Orange ice hockey, and cross country and track & field programs, in addition to serving as a second contact for football, women's basketball and men's and women's lacrosse. Sargent will work with the Orange volleyball, tennis and softball teams, in addition to serving as a secondary football and men's basketball contact.
McCormick earned her undergraduate degree in communications from Michigan State in 2012. She was a student assistant in the athletic communications office at Michigan State for three years. McCormick also served a summer internship with USA Hockey in 2011. She is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and the Eastern College Athletic Conference-Sports Information Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA).
Sargent graduated from Syracuse in May with a bachelor's degree in public relations. She was a student assistant in the athletic communications office Syracuse from May 2011 until she finished her undergraduate degree. Sargent served a summer internship with the Syracuse Nets Inc. and was a public relations intern with the Syracuse Crunch. She is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and the Eastern College Athletic Conference-Sports Information Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA).
