
Softball To Host Three Fall Games At Home

SYRACUSE, N.Y – The Syracuse Softball team will host three games from their 2012 fall schedule at home this weekend in the SU Softball Stadium.
Syracuse will host LeMoyne on Friday, Sept. 21, followed by Cornell on Saturday, Sept. 22 and Colgate on Sunday, Sept. 23. The Orange will close out their fall schedule on the road next weekend facing off against Hofstra and Fordham on Sunday, Sept. 30 in Newark, N.J.
The Orange made their deepest run into the post-season in 2012, making it to the NCAA Regional Finals, defeating No. 2 Arizona State, their highest nationally-ranked opponent.
With a record of 43-16 last season, the Orange finished the 2012 season ranked No. 24 according to the ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll, and No. 23 according to the NFCA/USA TODAY Coaches Poll. The No. 23 ranking tied SU's highest mark in program history.
