BALTIMORE – Syracuse's 2012-13 men's lacrosse incoming class has been ranked No. 9 in the nation by Inside Lacrosse. The top 20 men's classes for the upcoming season are featured in Inside Lacrosse's annual recruiting issue available now.

The class features 14 incoming players, including three listed among Inside Lacrosse's "Power 100." It also includes Division I transfers Mike Daniello from Johns Hopkins and Sean Young from Towson.

"I think it's a talented, athletic group," said SU head coach John Desko. "It's a group with good physical size. We are excited to get them on the field this fall and see what they can do."

The Orange's highest-ranked freshman is defenseman Ryan Palasek, who checked in at No. 15 on the magazine's list of the top incoming players. Palasek was an Under Armour All-American at Rocky Point High School where he set the school record with 167 caused turnovers.

North Carolina's freshman class is No. 1 in the magazine's rankings followed by Virginia, Duke, Harvard and Johns Hopkins.
