SYRACUSE, N.Y.—The Orange football team takes on Pittsburgh tomorrow in the Carrier Dome in its first of two home contests to close out the regular season. Kickoff is at 12:30 p.m. and the game will be aired on the ACC Network.
Both Syracuse and Pitt are 5-5 on the season and are one win away from becoming bowl eligible. The Orange has a 3-3 ranking in ACC play while the Panthers are 2-4.
GAME OVERVIEW
• After traveling for four of its last five games, Syracuse closes the 2013 regular season with ACC home games against longtime rivals Pitt and Boston College. Pitt is up first. The Panthers visit the Carrier Dome on Saturday, Nov. 23.
• The game will be broadcast on the ACC Network. Tim Brant (pxp), Dave Archer (analyst) and Rachel Baribeau (sidelines) have the call.
• SU can climb back over .500 and become bowl eligible for the third time in four years with a win.
• The Panthers are also seeking bowl eligibility. Pitt started the year 3-1, but has gone 2-4 in its last six games and sits at 5-5 overall and 2-3 in the ACC.
• Saturday is 'I'm In' Day at the Dome. Fans can show their support by receiving free #OrangeNation tattoos.

EASTERN FOOTBALL HEAVYWEIGHTS
• Syracuse and Pitt both rank among the top 20 FBS programs in all-time wins. The Orange is 16th with 703 victories. The Panthers are 19th with 688.
• Presented every year since 1936, the Lambert-Meadowlands Trophy recognizes the best FBS team in the Northeast. SU has claimed the trophy seven times, most recently in 1998, which is tied for second on the list with Army. Pitt is fourth with six Lambert-Meadowlands titles.
• SU and Pitt have combined for 10 national championships. Pitt has nine with the most recent coming in 1976. Syracuse won the crown in 1959.
• Pitt and Syracuse have 26 bowl victories between them. The Orange boasts 14 bowl wins. The Panthers have 12.

THE PITT SERIES
• The Orange has played Pittsburgh 68 times, the second-longest series in the history of SU football. The Panthers lead the rivalry, 34-31-3.
• SU snapped Pitt's seven-game series winning streak last year with a 14-13 home victory.
• In 1996, SU routed Pitt, 55-7, to record the 600th win in school history.
• In 1923, SU beat Pitt, 3-0, in the first college football game played in Yankee Stadium.
• SU won 11 straight games against the Panthers from 1991 to 2001.
• In the 68-game history of the series, Syracuse has scored 1,332 points (19.6 ppg) to Pittsburgh's 1,329 (19.5 ppg).

A WIN AGAINST PITT WILL …
• Be SU's 704th all-time victory, the 16th-most among FBS schools.
• Make the Orange bowl eligible for the third time in four years.
• Give the Orange consecutive wins against the Panthers for the first time since 2000-01.
• Give SU a 4-1 record at the Carrier Dome in 2013, securing a winning home record for the 29th time in the building's 34 seasons.

LAST TIME VS. PITT
• SU scored two first-quarter touchdowns and relied on a stifling defense to defeat the Panthers, 14-13, on Oct. 5, 2012 at the Carrier Dome.
• Brandon Sharpe paced the SU defense with seven tackles, including six for a loss, and four sacks.
• LB Dyshawn Davis' 52-yard fumble return for a touchdown with 1:10 left in the first quarter gave the Orange a 14-0 lead and was the difference in the game.
• RB Adonis Ameen-Moore scored SU's only other touchdown on a one-yard run.
• Tino Sunseri passed for 319 yards and Devin Street caught 10 balls for 130 yards to lead the Panthers.
